Great Work Happening! Join us for the SPIA Ice Bucket Challenge Fundraiser on August 15th at 11am at Little Beach following the general meeting!

ALS
Many of you have seen the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge phenomenon that swept social media last year.  Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.  The ALS community needs support for those afflicted with this devastating disease. Many know someone this disease has touched and SPIA’s own John Landsiedel is battling it now.
MAKE AN IMPACT
We have organized a SPIA Ice Bucket Challenge Fundraiser. The purpose of this event is to bring our neighborhood together to show our support to the Landsiedel family and to others affected by this disease by raising money for Compassionate Care ALS, a wonderful organization that provides educational and legal resources, and subsidy of living aids and assistance (to name a few) to ALS patients and families on Cape Cod.
SPIA Neighbors – Participate in SPIA’s Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS!
Click here to Register to participate. Once you have registered, please consider asking your friends and family to support your participation with a donation. The registration page will explain how you can ask your friends and family to sponsor with a donation.  We will video the challenge and post to SPIA’s Facebook  and the SPIA website for anyone to access and nominate others to keep the challenge going.
We look forward to participating together as a community to support this important cause.
